In
keeping with our Strategic Mission Plan emphasis on mission, Trinity will
continue to increase its mission giving in dramatic ways over the next three
years. Trinity’s increased emphasis on local missions through physical
and financial assistance to individuals and organizations is also producing
much kingdom fruit while we continue to add to the number of global
missionaries supported. The current budget includes 10 full and 6 half
missionary shares, support for 12 local organizations, and a discretionary
fund for the deacons to use as they become aware of additional needs in the
congregation and the community.
In addition to repeatedly and joyfully responding to calls
from the pastors and deacons to meet specific non-budgeted needs, Trinity
volunteers lead and participate in service projects and provide gas and food
cards, physical labor, and materials to help some of its own members and to
reach beyond the doors of the church to various agencies and individuals.
.
Each aspect of Trinity's work, whether we are stepping out in faith in a new venture or remaining faithful to a previous call, is entered into and sustained through prayer. Prayer reminds us that we are God's servants and need God's leading in every journey of faith. It changes us individually and corporately, building our awareness not only of ourselves as spiritual creatures but also of the church as a wonderful work of God. As we pray, God invites our active participation in that work and reminds us that we can do nothing without the Spirit's power and presence.
